Heidi & Jake started off their package with us via an amazing rainy engagement photo session at the Old Mill Inn.
When we say time flies, believe it; because before we knew it, we were flash forwarded to their wedding day at the Ancaster Mill in Hamilton on a beautiful Spring Day. Enjoy some sneak peaks below!
Starting this day off at the Courtyard by Marriot Hotel in Hamilton, Heidi and the girls took advantage of one of the conference rooms for their large "getting ready" ensemble. With 2 photographers on hand, we were able to snag plenty of various images including candids and very specifically focused detail shots.
Moving over to Jake and the boys was simple and always is when both the bride and groom get ready at the same location. Jumping up a few floors without the need to travel elsewhere allowed us to get a nice variety of images between both groups very efficiently.
First looks, first looks, first looks! We had the opportunity to set up not one, two, BUT three reveals including father of the bride, bridesmaids, and of course with the groom. Which one is your favourite?!
It was also a great idea to get singles with each bridesmaid and groomsmen here immediately after the first looks as it would have been more time constrictive later in the day. That's a win win!
Moving to the ceremony location, Heidi and Jake set out to say their "I do's" at the Ancaster Old Mill - a familiar place for us in terms of wedding photography. The large chapel on site was beautifully decorated, had some hot refreshing apple cider for guests, and held everyone comfortably during the proceeding.
Appetizers were never too far for the bridal party and family members during the creative photo session. Our bride and groom also had a nice surprise vintage vehicle on site, which we magically incorporated into their images. It especially went well with the colour of the bridesmaids' dresses!
We were very careful not to "spill the beans" early regarding this surprise😄
Finally at the reception, the fact that we had 2 photographers on hand allowed for much more photos captured as well as various angles simultaneously - because as you can imagine...live proceedings happen quickly and it's always a good idea to have a well trained team by your side.
